Assessment Requisites
Prior to beginning the assessment, you should have:
- A list of current pain points and manual workarounds that are limiting your firm and its potential.
- Current list of operating companies, locations, organization structure, and consolidations.
- Timeline and budget for a potential upgrade to Business Central. Are there any driving factors or timing involved in a potential upgrade?
- Admin access to your current GP or NAV system for review. NOTE: Admin access is not required for Synoptek personnel, however, an employee that has admin access to the current system will need to be present during the assessment.

Day 1: Functional Assessment
- Meet with the executive and leadership team virtually to discuss business objectives and vision for the upgrade.
- Understand the current pain areas from the leadership team.
- Virtual meet with the functional SMEs to understand the current business processes and how they have changed from what was set up in your current system.
- Understand the current infrastructure and implementation as well as discuss major customizations/integrations.
- Review business documents, customer and vendor interactions, and item characteristics that are currently documented outside of the current ERP system.
- Review high-level business and reporting objectives.
Day 2: Evaluate and Analyze
- Review current licensing and how the new named licensing model would be applied to your business.
- Discuss with business owners and SME’s new functionality available within Dynamics 365 Business Central that may be of value to them.
- Review the SaaS software model and the Microsoft Road Map for the Dynamics product line. Discussions include other Dynamics products including CE (CRM), Power BI, PowerApps, Power Automate, and others, and how they integrate with Business Central.
- Give a brief demonstration of Business Central including an overview of the interface and a highlight of the new features.
